On Saturday afternoon, a road accident on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, Gazipur, killed a college student and 3 others got injured seriously.
The Sadar Police Station sub-inspector, Shahidul Islam informed that the deceased was a student of Linkan College in the city, named Zumman Hossain Nasir (18). Nasir along with two friends were returning home from the college by a motorcycle. When they were in front of Concorde Garments Ltd in South Salna area around 12:35 pm, the motorbike hit hard an auto-rickshaw and so, the three bikers to fall on the road. At the same time, a speeding bus of ‘Showkhin Paribahan’ ran over Nasir, leaving him dead on the spot, the SI added.
The injured people are the two friends of Nasir, Robin (22) and Alamin (18) while the rest one is an auto-rickshaw passenger Asoat (11). All of them were admitted to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital.
