Ketogenic diet is one of the most used diet plans for weight loss. It is popularly known as the keto diet. Actually, it is about the elimination of carbohydrates from your diet chart and replacing them with good fats at most and protein in a moderated amount.

The keto diet is very effective to lose weight quickly if you know how to maintain it properly. Consuming a lot of water and doing an effective workout is also essential to promote weight loss. And most importantly, you have to keep your sincere eyes on your food chart.

Many people have a doubt that how consuming good fats can promote losing fat. It is true. When your body doesn’t get enough carbs to break and to get energy, it will start breaking the fats to get the energy, it will need. Fats of our body contain a good amount of water. So, while in Ketogenic diet you should make sure that you are drinking sufficient water.

In Ketogenic diet, you have to make it sure that you will not consume more than 5% of carbs from your total foods for a day. You can eat any good fats like a nut, cheese, olive oil, Palm oil, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, flaxseed, sesame oil, butter, Avocado, and so on. In the case of protein, you are free to take any of them like chicken, fishes of any kind, milk, egg, yogurt, heavy cream etc. Also, you can eat vegetables like capsicum, spinach, lettuce, tomato, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, beans of any types, eggplant, mushrooms, zucchini, asparagus, cucumber, olive, and all types of spices.

It is better to break your meals into several parts and have 5 or 6 meals in a day. But the keto diet is not for all. Especially, those who have heart or kidney diseases and pregnant women should not continue keto diet in any stage. Also, those with a critical mental or psychological disorder, should not try it at any rate.
