Intel is undoubtedly the biggest name in the microprocessor industry and computing hardware world. In recent days, it is sole competitor AMD giving it a hard time since the launch of Ryzen and it’s AM4 platform.

2016 is a game changing year in the computer industry, everything just turn around with the release of Ryzen 1st generation platform. AMD targeted the budget section with the best possible features that money can buy. AMD paved the way for more core integration in the mainstream section, giving the chance to be productive not just for gamers also for the amature content creators and streamers.

The new Ryzen 2000 series is more improved and Integrates better IPC and memory controllers that not just blow away Intel in pricing but also in overall computing. After a long period Intel is bound to give more as we have seen in the 8th generation (Coffee Lake) 6 core 12 thread processor in mainstream core i7 line us and six core only core i5 line up. Also the subsequent 9th generation offerings more core count and integration of i9 in mainstream desktop platform.

The pricing of Intel processors and the issue of motherboard socket change with each generation are not logical. This fact is not present in AMD AM4 platform as they provide superior backward and forward compatibilities.

We should not forget the HEDT section, which was firmly in the grip of Intel for more than a decade shattered with the release of TR4 , AMD Ryzen Threadripper, that is another topic we will go through in another discussion.

For us this competition is a good thing, we can now get more in reasonable prices than ever before.
