Are you thinking of upgrading your current AMD Ryzen CPUs to the newest 3rd gen Ryzen 3000 series? If you are a 1st or 2nd gen Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 user you do not need to upgrade. As that is under 25-30% performance gain, whereas, the older ones are giving awesome price to performance value.

If you are in a tight budget and want to get a Ryzen system than we will suggest you buy the 2nd generation Ryzen 7 processors, 2700 and 2700x. They are great for the amount of money they cost. In the international market, the price of both is around 150-200 us dollars. Far less than the MSRP. If we compare then with 3rd gen Ryzen 7 processors they are 13-17% slower at best.

If you want the latest PCI generation 4.0 and extra game cache then by no means get the 3rd gen or even get the Ryzen 9 processors especially the 12 core one. It will be more future proof. In the end, we highly suggest getting 1st Gen Ryzen 7 and 2nd Gen Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7 line up for any budget builders.
