TikTok is now almost at the top of popularity and also got criticized by many countries. Suddenly TikTok is fined 5.7 million dollar by the United States for illegal accession of all the information of the children users under 13 years.
According to BBC, many children under 13 years became the victim of insecure information requirements when the information became unsecured. The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) also said “TikTok bought the application Musically and it is popular at the name of TikTok now. At present most of the users of TikTok are teenagers. They create and publish contents. This application takes the permission to get access to all information of the users and many information may get unsecured for this.”
At the meanwhile, they ordered TikTok to remove all the personal information of the users from the app. Besides, there is an age verification method available in the app but they do not verify whether the giving age is true or false. This 5.7 million dollar is record fine for a children privacy case.
