On third ODI against Australia at Ranchi, Indian cricket team wore special army caps before the start of the match. According to the report, MS Dhoni came up with this idea. MS Dhoni presented the caps to all the Indian players. The skipper Virat Kohli went to the toss wearing the special army cap. Kohli won the toss and said, “This is a special cap, it’s a tribute to the Armed forces.”

He also talked about donating the match fees from the third ODI to the families of the martyrs. He said “We’re all donating our match fees of this game to the families of the martyrs. I urge everyone in the country to do the same and stick to the families of our armed forces.”
