10 passengers in a bus died and 40 more were injured in a road accident at Kalabari on Dhaka-Barishal highway in Madaripur at 12.30 pm on Thursday (28 March, 2019).
Sources said, the bus was going towards Madaripur from Faridpur with a group of people who attended an Islamic programme at Faridpur. On that time, the bus was trying to avoid collision with a truck and unfortunately veered to the railing of the bridge and fell into the ditch by breaking it.
Madaripur police Superintendent, Subrata Kumar Hawladar informed, “the bus tried to avoid collision with a truck. “Four people were killed on the spot. Three others were declared dead at Madaripur General Hospital,”. After that, three more were found dead. The fire service workers are trying to rescue the people who are thought to be stuck behind the bus. So, it is presumed that more dead body can be found behind it.
