We are close to the release date of the Razen 3rd generation chips along with the x570 motherboard. It is still not sure x570 will introduce us with the first consumer-grade PCI Express 4.0 or not. But we are expecting at least 10-20% overall and IPC improvement over 1st and 2nd gen AM4 processors.

There might be the introduction of mainstream 12 or 16 core CPUs and R9 class but we are hoping at least Ryzen 7 gets 12 core variant.
Many rumors are online and already some of the sites already detected 12core AMD CPUs, it is up to the time now. If they really release such improvements Intel’s competition will be devastated if they do not reduce their prices and poor upgrade path, as we have seen them to do from the last decade till today.
The price in Bangladesh perspective will be a bit premium in the release phase but will be tranquilized after a month of sale in the market. We are expecting R7 variants will cost around 24-30k BDT and R5 ones at around 17k-23k BDT. New R9 series predicted the price for Bangladesh is still not known. Yes, the previous generation of motherboard will support the new generation processors but the 12 or more core count ones will need something with better VRM and power phase support. It is safe for the x370 and x470 owners but will cause some tension for the B350, B450 and A320 boards with weak VRM and TDP support.

Its a huge upgrade for the existing 1st Gen Ryzen and new users about PCI Express 4.0 support for the old generation Ryzen motherboards are still unknown. Let’s see what is ahead in the near future.
