On the 2nd semi-final of UEFA Champions League, Barcelona defeated Liverpool by 3 goals at Camp Nou. Liverpool couldn’t stand against Barcelona. Former Liverpool star Luis Suarez scored for Barcelona at 26 minutes. Lionel Messi scored twice at 75 and 82 minute, thus scored his 600th goal for the club. The Argentinian, who is currently La Liga’s Pichichi top scorer and the European Golden Boot leader, achieved a new landmark. Barcelona almost cleared the path for final. The second leg of the semi final will be held on May 8 at Anfield.
Previously, in the first leg of first semi-final Ajax defeated Tottenham by 1 goal. In the home ground of Tottenham it was unexpected. At 15th minute Donny van de Been scored. Tottenham Hotspur could not break the defense of Ajax. Ajax got a great advantage in the road to final. The second leg of this semi-final will be held on 9th may.
