In the quarter final of UEFA Champions League Barcelona battled against the Red Devil Manchester United on Thursday (11 April). Having the opportunity of an own goal Barcelona won the match by 1-0 at the Old Trafford. Luke shaw did an own goal at 12 mins. The second leg will happen on 17 April.
In another match favorite Juventus drew against Ajax. Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Juventus at 45 mins and David Neres scored for Ajax at 46 mins. The match ended as 1-1 draw. The second of their match will take place on the home ground of Juventus on 17 April.
Previously, in another Champions League Quarter Finals, Liverpool and Tottenham got victory on Wednesday (10 April). In the 1st leg of Champions League quarter final Liverpool battled against FC Porto and that was a desired victory for them. Liverpool won 2-0 at Anfield and almost ensure their semi final entrance. Though anything can happen as the second leg is yet to happen. Naby Keita (5 minute) and Firmino (26 minute) scored in the game.
Another high voltage quarter final was played between Tottenham Hotspur and favorite Manchester City. Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester City by 1 goal. Sergio Aguero missed penalty at 16 minute and Heung-Min Son scored at 78 mins for Tottenham. The second the of the both quarter finals will happen on 18 April.
