The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) imposed a ban on player transfer for the next two seasons for the English football club Chelsea. Such a ghastly situation comes up for the fans of ‘Blues’ since Chelsea FC was found violating a code of conduct set by FIFA, stated after an intense investigation by the supreme authority of world’s football.

According to the regulation of FIFA, no club can buy any player aged under 18 and that Chelsea breached the very rule. And so, the club will not be able to contract with a new player until the 2020 summer season. However, there is no restriction on releasing players or bringing back the players sent on loan.

Not only sanctions, this Premier League club has been fined 6 million Swiss francs. Besides, the English Football Association (FA) was also fined 5,10,000 Swiss francs by FIFA.

Several mass media revealed that FIFA has been conducting a serious investigation for three years on Chelsea for buying players who are under 18 years old. According to the investigation report, the English club made several contracts with players under 18 years old including Burkina Faso Trároo from 2014 to 2017. As per the investigation, the English club was found guilty and being punished according to the rules and regulations of FIFA.

On the other hand, the spokesman of Chelsea Football Club has declared that the club shall appeal against the accusation to the committee. If necessary, the club authority will also appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
