Media celebrities will join the election campaign of the Awami League from next week. AL Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud said, singer Momtaj Begum, film stars Faruq, Riaz, Ferdows and Shakil Khan, actor Jahid Hasan, Misha, Zaed; actresses Aruna Biswas, Shomi Kaiser, and renowned dance artist Sadia Islam Mow and others will take part in the election campaign in favour of Awami League.
After a meeting of AL publicity subcommittee in the AL president’s political office at Dhanmondi, he informed media about the participation of the celebrities in the polls campaign starting from next week.
Ferdows said, “We’ll carry out the campaign for ‘Boat’, the electoral of symbol of Awami League, to move Bangladesh forward under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh asina. We will walk on the path of the development guided by our Prime Minister.”
Jahid Hasan said: “We are with ‘Boat’… and Inshallha we will remain with boat in the future”. Actor Riaz also requested the new generation to stay alongside the Awami League and vote for ‘Boat’ in the upcoming national election.
