Real Madrid is facing back to back defeats in 2018-19 session and the streak continues with a massive lost against their arch-rival FC Barcelona. The Catalonian side beat the twelve times UCL champion in the first Classico match of the current 2018-19 session of La Liga by 5-1 goals at Camp Nou on Sunday.

For the first time in last 11 years, the 238th Classico match took place without two of the best players of current era Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo since the former is on 4 weeks injury of a broken hand while the latter joined the Italian club Juventus this session.

The Uruguayan striker Luiz Suarez put his name beside his club teammate Lionel Messi for being the second player to score a hat-trick in the Classico match.

The high voltage match began with the host team putting aggressive pressure on Lopetegui’s team. The breakthrough came on the 11th minute of the game when the Brazilian midfielder Phillip Coutinho scored the first for the night from a splendid through pass from the left-back Jordi Alba.

The game turned into a one-sided match after the 65th minute when the home side began to execute back to back counter attacks. On the 75th minute, Suarez put the ball into the net with a stunning header from a cross ball by Sergi Roberto. Soon after that, the Uruguayan completed his hat-trick with a chip shot over Madrid’s newly signed goalkeeper T. Courtois on the 83rd minute.

The game was about to finish while the substitute Arturo Vidal bagged the fifth goal of the night on Madrid’s net with a dazzling header chipped by the French man Osmane Dembele.

With the end of the game, Barcelona holds a grip on the leading position with 21 points while Real Madrid went down to the 9th position with 14 points.
