Latin American giant Uruguay starts their World cup journey with a last minute goal victory against the African team Egypt in the second match of group-A of FIFA World Cup 2018. The match started at 6 pm in Bangladesh time at Ekaterinburg Arena in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

The two-times World Cup winner Uruguay started with their usual lineup whereas the Pharaohs kicked off having benched their superstar Mohamed Salah. The Latin Americans had a bit advantage due to their world cup unbeaten record against any of the African teams.

Uruguay put the pressure on the Egyptian defense from the beginning of the game and tried to penetrate the African defensive lines. The first half ended up with neither side able to score any goal.

With the beginning of the second half, both the sides played aggressively while the Uruguayans had several chances to mark the score sheet but in vain.

The Barcelona star Luiz Suarez had several attempt on goal but couldn’t make through the Egyptian defense.

Eddison Cavani, the Paris Saint-Germen forward lifted the ball above the defenders from a set piece but the luck didn’t favor and the ball hit the bar post.

The game turned in favor of the men in white on the 90th minute of the game. The Uruguayan defender Jose Gimenez carried his team to the victory with an outstanding header from a set piece. The referee whistled the game to an end with an only goal of the game to decide the winner.
